Poor Equipment and Components
The following views are my personal opinion.
I have always wondered why the Ranger Tugs, which are a high end, deluxe boat brand, use such cheap equipment and components.
Some examples are:
The factory supplied anchor, which is not even a good “lunch anchor.” I have (and many others) switch to a “ROCNA.”
The old school, shore power receptacle. Many Tug owners have switched over to the “Smart Plug” to reduce arcing and the chance of fire.
I do not know about other models, but the 2013 R27 I owned, you had to rock the boat from side to side to look for the sloshing in the waste holding tank to distinguish the level.
The 2018 R27 “Lemon-Aid” does not have a gauge or monitor system lights at all for the waste holding tank.
We have always had issues with the side windows. The latches have always been a problem with both of the Ranger Tugs we have owned.
